It’s Arrived! Its Arrived!
All the children rushed to the gate to see a huge truck bouncing down the dirt road that leads the way to Hope for Cambodian Children centre.
It was carrying a huge shipping container – marked  - DHL

The excitement was really all too much for some as they waited to see what was inside.
A line of helpers emerged ready to carry the boxes from the truck to our storage area.
Each item that came out of the container was met with an “umm” or an “oooh”.
Box after box of toys, books, baby prams, medical equipment, clothes, books and more books.

Then came the flashy bicycles -  red, green, pink with ribbons, bells and stripes.
The line of helpers soon turned into a line of watchers and finally a line of players.

But eventually the entire container was unpacked. The clinic was full of new boxes of materials, everything from beds to band-aids.

The library was full of boxes of new toys. Giant teddy bears, posters, robots, puzzles and more…

The books were put aside for now and we begin the task of cataloging and marking every book.

For Khmer New year each child got at least two new sets of casual clothes. For our party to celebrate New Year all the kids were dressed up in their new clothes and looked wonderful and temporarily clean.

On behalf of all the children of HFCC we would like to thank DHL for organising and funding the shipment of the container. These resources have brought such a change to the programs and projects.

And thank you to all the people that donated the materials.
